Martin Luther King Jr. Day events

Several events were planned throughout South Florida Monday to honor Martin Luther King Jr.
Beginning at 11 a.m. there will be a parade in Miami along Northwest 54th Street from Northwest 12th Avenue to Northwest 19th Avenue. The parade is expected to conclude around 2 p.m.

In Pompano Beach, there will be a parade beginning at 8 a.m. at Mitchell Moore Park at 901 Northwest 10th Street. The parade is expected to conclude around 10:30 a.m. and will be followed by a celebration at Blanche Ely High School gym at 1201 Northwest 6th Avenue in Pompano Beach.

Hallandale Beach will also hold a parade and festival beginning at 10 a.m. at B.F. James Park at Northwest 2nd Avenue and 9th Street with the festival following at O.B. Johnson Park at 900 Northwest 8th Avenue.

Dania Beach will be holding it's 32nd Annual MLK Day parade and celebration beginning at 9 a.m. at Charlie Will Thomas Park at 100 Northwest 8th Avenue.

It's finally time Fam .. The NBA is Back .. So just like the NFL Preview I just had to do the NBA.I must say with all the off season antics I just wondered if I would be able to give you a great opinion on some of these teams to look out for this season...So lets give this a try..Lets Start with The LA Lakers ,With Phil Jackson out of The picture and in with Mike Brown and the possibilities of loosing all that size with Odom and Gasol ??Don't look good and has The Celtics lost The battle with Father time?The Bulls had a very great year ,but will they Be able to carry on being a one man offensive machine with Rose .. And This leads me to The Champions Dallas Mavs..With big loses of key Free agents to that very great team, have they become a one hit wonder?? .. Now the Prediction ... The Finals will be The Heat vs Thunder..With the Heat in 6 .. I know , I know I always be a little bit of a Homer and you the great readers always been kind enough to let your boy slide on that .. But I'm not calling for 7 titles .. but for this year I think they will grab this one .. All opinions are welcome .. I enjoy hearing your Thoughts .. So who You got .. Let the Games Begin.

The Le'Nalors Fight Preview Cotto vs Margarito 2 Take Your Pick

Miguel Cotto will face Antonio Margarito on Dec. 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Cotto is putting his WBA and WBB junior middleweight world titles on the line, though Cotto is considered a "super champion" by the WBA, and the organization considers Austin Trout its regular champion and Anthony Mundine the interim champion.
The fight is a rematch of a controversial 2008 bout, when Margarito handed Cotto his first professional loss. Margarito forced Cotto's corner to throw in the towel in the 11th round. Margarito was ahead on two of the three scorecards at the time of the stoppage, but later came under suspicion due to his use of illegal hand wraps in a later fight against Shane Mosely. Margarito is coming off a loss to Manny Pacquiao in 2010, while Cotto has won his past two fights after losing to Pacquiao in 2009.Now my Prediction .... I have to go with Cotto .. and I think it's gonna get Ugly ...So Cotto in 8th round TKO

Cadillac introduced the Ciel Concept to the moneyed crowd at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance earlier this year, and people haven’t stopped talking about it since. Incorporating classic Cadillac design cues that strongly evoke the forms of the late 1960s and early 1970s, yet are rendered in a modern, tailored, four-door convertible package, the Ciel represents Cadillac’s current thinking around the type of flagship model that the brand requires to reclaim its status as the world standard.
Ciel (pronounced "C-L") is the French word for sky, and there’s plenty of that to be enjoyed from this Caddy’s four luxurious leather-wrapped seats. Nickel-plated trim and sustainable Olive Ash wood provide a properly luxurious atmosphere within the cabin, which is divided by a floating center console with individual smartphone connectivity capabilities. I think the inductive charging pad on the front console is pretty cool, too.
A gas/electric hybrid, the Ciel’s long hood covers a twin-turbocharged, direct-injected 3.6-liter V6 assisted by a lithium-ion battery pack. Total system output is 425 horsepower. But despite this healthy output and the Ciel’s enormous 22-inch wheels, this Caddy is designed to be a cruiser.
The Ciel is a fantasy, of course, what with its clamshell doors, minimalist windshield, and lack of any kind of roof. Rather, the car is an exploration of what’s possible as Cadillac considers how best to compete in the upper echelon of the luxury market.

Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather (42-0, 26 KOs) scored a fourth round KO over WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz (29-3-2, 22 KOs) to claim the WBC crown in round four on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Ortiz had a good round two, but Floyd was back in charge in the third. After an Ortiz attempt at an intentional headbutt in round four, Cortez broke the action and deducted a point from Ortiz. Cordoba called time back in and Ortiz went to Mayweather, embraced him and apologized, Mayweather then clocked Ortiz with two shots as he was stepping back and knocked him out. Now my Final Take on this fight .. It's Boxing ... Strange things happends alot in this sport .. For example Oliver mccall started crying and had a nervous break down , Henry Akinwande non stop hugging of Lenox Lexis , from Iron mike tyson taking a lunch break on Evander lol , And now we get to Floyd .. This was a legal Ko .. The reaction is more based on dislike I think .. and the destrcuction of Larry merchant after the fight ,To be Honest I enjoyed it .. The fight with pacman will happen ... And when it does .. Lets just hope Boxing can capitalize on something this sport could really use these days .. A great Finish
